Podcasts Honor MANS’ Legacy, Leadership and Longevity
MANS Home and Lumber President Doug Mans and Meghan Mans-Kurili, fifth-generation family member who heads up Marketing here at MANS, were recently invited to appear on two separate podcasts, The BLTnT Podcast and the Bullhorns and Bullseyes Podcast to learn more about our 125-year history as a member of the southeast Michigan community.
Most recently, Doug and Meghan joined BLTnT host Matt Loria, who is also the CEO of Auxiom, an IT and Cyber Security company serving businesses, to discuss” their experience assuming the helm and carrying the torch of a 125-year-old brand. “From duck blinds to boardrooms, Doug brings a down-to-earth, deeply personal perspective on leadership, legacy, and the kind of growth that doesn’t forget where it came from.” Also discussed:
The power of family-first culture in business
Why AI isn’t just for tech firms anymore
Stewardship, succession, and building something that lasts
Earlier this month, the two were also guests on Bullhorns and Bullseyes for episode 20 of the show’s second season, “Legacy, Longevity and Lead-Gen with Mans Lumber,” to discuss our company’s secret to longevity, “a story that spans 125 years, two world wars, two global pandemics, a housing bubble crisis, and even attempted arson!” Hosts Curtis Hayes and Tom Nixon explore how a family-owned business can both stay consistent to its values while also adapting with the times and evolving and innovating as a business. As a marketing podcast geared to marketers and agencies, they also wanted to hear how Meghan modernized our company’s marketing approach, evolving it from brand awareness only to a mix of brand awareness, lead generation, and measurable outcomes tied to actual sales.
